Find Out What Your Underwear Signifies

I recently got some rather interesting insight from a friend of mine who works in the fire department regarding briefs versus boxers. And according to him it's a 50/50 thing. At his station of work, he said that boxers were common with young guys and men over 60. Briefs on the other hand (And this are not the classy type) are preferred by men in the 40 and 60 age bracket.

Whatever your choice, one thing remains certain, and that is, undergarments have come a long way. Men are usually not keen to consider the fine details of their underwear choice. Some just require a little help and below is a break down of the options available for men.

Briefs

Briefs have received a bad rap lately. A buyer should be able to distinguish between Hanes, BVDs, Fruits of the looms that you wore when you were a teen and the upscale brands. Better quality brands include Calvins, DKNY and Cins2. These are not just white or cotton, they can be found in various fabrics and colors. If you haven't though of a brief in a while then it's time you check them out.

Guys over 15 still wearing those outdated labels should style up. Go shopping for some real underwear because even the female folks acknowledge that it's a deal breaker.

Boxer briefs

These ones are fancied by the athletic types and also by guys who hate wearing briefs and also regular boxers with too much fabric. I interviewed a number of guys (friend's majority of them) about this and many said that they like boxer briefs because of comfort, conformity and support. These also come in a wide variety of fabrics and colors.

Boxers

Now this seems to be the underwear of choice for majority of men. Forget those types with juvenile slogans, prints and anything in between. A word of caution: If they're holed, are stained or were a gift from a past girlfriend then throw them away.

Boxers are sexy because they cover up a lot leaving something for the imagination. Also, as a friend of mine once said, should there be a fire in the middle of the night and you have to dash out of the house, it's much better to do so in a boxer than in briefs because they're like shorts.

Thong Underwear

Well, this are common with strippers and I wouldn't imagine any guy in his right frame of mind owning a pair of this unless for amusement purposes. Thong underwear have nothing sexy about them and if you consider getting a pair then you must have some very good reasons for doing that otherwise just stick to what is manly and safe.

Bikini Briefs

Leave this one for Europeans.

Commando Style

If you go commando style then I would suggest that you keep your state of affairs to yourself. Just be careful when zipping up after visiting the men's room.
